This wonderful nursing rhyme – style tune, made famous by Ismael “Maelo” Rivera with Rafael Cortijo’s band, was revived by Johnny Pachecos hand featuring Celia Cruz on the album “Tribute to Ismael Rivera” from 1992. Both their versions are amazing.
The song has not only a very catchy melody and coro but it also features the classic “tempo drop” similar to Bemba Colorá.
You can’t go wrong with this one. Also not too complicated for beginners and/or intermediate level players.
