There are a few people in Salsa-Land that didn’t hear this tune. Composed by Justi Barreto and popularised by the incredible “Universidad de la Salsa” El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico. Originally released in 1975, the song become a Salsa standard and a cultural anthem for both New York City and the Puerto Rican diaspora.
