I might be wrong, but I think after Oye como va, this one might be the second most famous one-chord-descarga-style tune know to almost every player on the planet. Released on Ray Barretto’s album “Que Viva La Musica”, the influence of the 70s is very obvious 🙂
It also serves well as a brilliant workshop tune, due to the simple harmonies, classic-riffs and plenty of solo-space.
Highly recommended also for younger players to get to know Latin rhythms.
